Benrahma or Fornals?
Pleasing as it was to see Pablo back enjoying himself so effectively against Leeds, I expect that Moyes still considers Benrahma to be his principal third attacker. Although Benny was probably MOTM in the first leg against AZ, an in-form Fornals offers more in my opinion. For a start he can use either foot effectively, which means less turning back to slow down a left-wing attack. He also has a better shot. I would give each a half against Leicester and select the better performer to start in Prague.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
Good question this.

Fornals for me. Benrahma can make more of an impact from the bench if need be.

Harsh on Benrahma who has been one of our better performers but just feel that Fornals more creative.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
It shouldn't really be a flat either/or question. they both have a big role to play and should have done this season. Fornals can either start or come in across any of those three advanced MF positions as a sub and he should have been rotated in/out with Benny/Bowen/whomever all season long either tactically/situationally or for rotation purposes. Whomever starts would depend on the opposition.

However for the Conference Final, Benny will start, i am sure. I think Paqueta wants Benny in the side which is why he's played so much since Paqueta arrived. They link up well together. If it's not going well, Benny will be the one yanked and Fornals will take his place.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
Benrahma is a lot better than Fornals in terms of control, ability to beat a man etc.

He just has no end product.

But not sure about Fornals "has a better shot" - his shooting is often absolutely woeful - like Benrahma.

Both. Drop Soucek.

You're right Russ, but it will never happen.

Benrahma

I agree withruss, jimmy ahead of rice & paqueta is my dream starting three but he's never dropping the big man now. I think benny gets the start, but may have to produce something before the hour mark

Fornals all day.
Benrhama is dogshit.

If Benny could shoot or cross he'd be worth £100m.

Jimmy Fornals for me, bloke loves the club and leaves everything on the pitch.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
fornals is a very intelligent player seems to always be in pockets of space and has great vision , its just his end product can be abit wild at times but on his day i do prefer him to benny , i just feel you cant drop benrahma for the final, he has carried us alot this season

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
I agree both would be good, but if one or the other, Fornals is more consistent, and I would argue more effective. I was saying this yesterday in the ground. I like Benrahma, but some of his shooting is wild at best, and his crosses are so flat. Weirdly he strikes a great penalty. He’s about a 1 good game in 6-8 player.

Fornals is better at tracking also which is helpful if up against attacking full backs.

Plenty on here think he’s shit though, so is a good polarising question.

Hammer and Pickle 2:54 Mon May 22
Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
He’ll start Soucek whatever.

However, since they seemed to have worked out an effective 442 with either Antonio or Ings and Bowen up front, it’s Fornals starting in a central forward role all day long for me. Perhaps change him for Benrahma if it goes to extra time or penalties.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
Think Benny is more creative than Pablo, but he does have his moments where he either switches off or launches the ball over the bar.

Pablo has a far better work ethic but doesn't offer the same goal threat. Horses for courses.

In a nutshell.........he has solved our penalty taking crisis though.

Paqueta's penalties scare me to death.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
I'd rather see Lanzini there instead of either of those two. He is a much more intelligent player as demonstrated by the way he made space for himself yesterday to get his scoring chance. He was also the best player on the pitch the last European game he played.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
Fornals everyday of the week.
Brilliant team player and best passer of the ball at the club.
Would lose a decent penalty taker but you shouldn’t get the nod because of that.
Benrahma’s final ball/shooting is just fucking woeful, not even Sunday league class.

Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
Fornals should've gone more central and taken souceks position a long time ago. Moyes can't develop players to do that sadly.

Vexed 8:33 Mon May 22
Re: Benrahma or Fornals?
Yeah Fornals has had one good game all season let's bin Benrahma off.

Twat.
